Types of Neck Lift: Defining the Cervico-Mental Angle
The neck lift addresses excess skin, fat, and banding of the platysma muscle.
Approaches include:
- Liposuction: for isolated fat under the chin when skin tone is good.
- Anterior platysmaplasty: midline tightening to correct vertical neck bands.
- Lateral neck lift: repositioning the platysma through incisions behind the ear.
- Submentoplasty: deeper contouring when subplatysmal fat or gland prominence is present.
Results: a sharper jawline, improved chin-neck angle, and youthful transition from face to neck.
Dr Yalon Dolev tailors each plan to the patient’s anatomy, fat distribution, and tissue laxity, performed in his private clinic in Westmount (Montreal).
